Condition of Returns Policy – Legal Terms and Conditions
- Introduction
This Returns Policy (“Policy”) sets forth the terms and conditions governing the return of items purchased by buyers (“Buyer” or “Buyers”) through the CoffeeRoo platform. By initiating a return, Buyers agree to be bound by the provisions of this Policy, the CoffeeRoo User Agreement, and any applicable laws and regulations. This Policy is incorporated by reference into and forms a part of the CoffeeRoo User Agreement.
- Condition of Returned Items
- Responsibility for Returned Item Condition
The Buyer bears full responsibility for ensuring that returned items are received by the seller (“Seller”) in the same condition as when originally delivered. Any diminution in the value of the item, whether due to damage, alteration, usage, or failure to appropriately secure packaging during return transit, shall be subject to a deduction from the Buyer’s refund.
- Non-Compliance with Original Condition
If an item is returned in a condition that materially differs from its original state, as verified upon receipt or during inspection, the Seller reserves the right to:
- Reject the return and return the item to the Buyer without issuing a refund;
- Deduct from the refund an amount equal to the reduction in the item’s fair market value.
- Authenticity Guarantee Returns
Items that have undergone verification through the CoffeeRoo Authenticity Guarantee program and are returned in any condition other than as originally inspected will be deemed ineligible for a refund and will be returned to the Buyer.
III. Return Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for a full refund, the returned item must satisfy all of the following conditions:
- Unaltered and Original Condition
- The item must be unused and unaltered, without any form of damage, wear, or usage beyond the condition specified at the time of purchase.
- For Equipment and Tools: All original components, parts, and accessories must be intact and functional.
- Original Packaging and Contents
- The item must be returned with all original packaging materials, including but not limited to boxes, UPC labels, bags, cushioning materials, and any protective wrappings.
- All originally included items must be returned, including (as applicable): cords, cables, remote controls, manuals, warranty documentation, rebate cards, promotional items, and gifts.
- Tags and Labels
- Original tags, labels, and accompanying documentation must be affixed or included, without alteration or removal.
- Consumable Goods (e.g., Coffee Beans, Teas)
- Products must remain factory-sealed and unopened.
- Items must not exceed their listed “use by” or “best before” date.
- Packaging must be in original, undamaged condition (e.g., no punctures, dents, or label tears).
- Bulk and Grouped Products
- Items sold as part of a group or carton must be returned in full. Partial returns of grouped items will not be accepted.
- Enforcement and Compliance
All users of the CoffeeRoo platform are required to comply with this Policy, the CoffeeRoo User Agreement, and applicable law. Non-compliance may result in remedial actions by CoffeeRoo, which may include, but are not limited to:
- Removal of listings or associated content;
- Issuance of formal warnings;
- Restriction or suspension of user accounts.
CoffeeRoo reserves the right to take any necessary and lawful measures to enforce this Policy, including cooperation with law enforcement or regulatory authorities as required.
