Community Content Policy Summary
At CoffeeRoo, we offer various platforms for members to share content, such as product reviews, guides, curated collections, groups, member-created product listings, and comments. These allow users to access useful information and share their own opinions and insights.
All community content reflects the views of the individual who posted it and must comply with the CoffeeRoo User Agreement, this content policy, and all other site rules. If there’s a conflict, the User Agreement takes priority.
All activity on CoffeeRoo must follow this policy, our User Agreement, relevant laws, and respect others’ rights. If these rules are broken, we may take action, including removing content, issuing warnings, restricting account activity, or suspending accounts, as permitted by law.
To report a violation, click the “Report” link next to the relevant content (e.g. a review or comment).
Creating a Product Listing
If the item you want to list isn’t in our catalog, you can create a new product or suggest changes to an existing one. All information must follow site policies and relate directly to the item—not to sellers, businesses, or transactions.
Content Guidelines
Sometimes Allowed
Profanity is not allowed in public areas. However, if you’re reviewing a product with a profane word in its title (like a music album), you may use the term only when referring to the title, and it must be censored (e.g. “f***”).
Not Allowed
These actions are prohibited:
- Advertising products or services not on CoffeeRoo
- Posting content in the wrong category
- Commenting on or giving feedback about other users
- Using copyrighted or trademarked content without permission
- Using another member’s images or text without consent
- Violating intellectual property rights
- Creating or modifying products to promote counterfeit or unauthorized items
- Adding ads, logos, or company names to content
- Duplicating the same content or product listing
- Encouraging illegal or policy-violating activity
- Posting in the wrong forum
- Writing irrelevant reviews
- Linking to prohibited sites or content
- Misrepresenting yourself as a CoffeeRoo employee or another user
- Promoting hate, violence, or intolerance
- Using offensive language
- Sharing personal contact info
- Abusing the reporting tool
- Falsely inflating or deflating ratings/reviews
- Publishing adult content in public areas
- Using prohibited HTML/JavaScript
- Using misleading keywords or links to attract attention
Additional Rules
- Only registered and active members can post content.
- Your username and profile photo may appear next to your content.
- We can remove, promote, or limit your content at our discretion.
- Collection creators can delete comments on their collections.
- Referencing a product, person, or trademark doesn’t mean CoffeeRoo endorses or is affiliated with them.
- All posts are public.
- We may monitor content but are not liable for it.
Why This Policy Exists
We want to foster a respectful, informative community. Members should feel safe to share their views while respecting others. Content promoting hate, violence, illegality, or rights violations is strictly banned.
