IP Rights Owner Policy
Intellectual Property Rights Owner (IPRO) Policy
CoffeeRoo prohibits any listings or products that violate the intellectual property rights of others.
Policy Update as of 31 May 2025:
While the fundamental guidelines of this policy remain unchanged, we’ve revised the information to better clarify what constitutes a policy violation.
Purpose of the IPRO Program:
The IP Rights Owner (IPRO) Program was created to allow owners of intellectual property (IP) to report listings or items that infringe upon their rights. Ensuring the removal of such infringing content aligns with CoffeeRoo’s commitment to legal compliance and maintaining buyer and seller trust.
Who Can Report Violations?
- IP Rights Holders:
Only individuals or entities holding the relevant IP rights may report CoffeeRoo listings that breach their copyright, trademark, or other IP protections. IP rights holders who also sell on the platform can visit the Reporting Intellectual Property Infringements (IPRO) page to learn more and submit a report. - Non-Rights Holders:
Even if you’re not the IP rights owner, you can assist by contacting the rightful owner and suggesting they reach out to us. Some IPRO Program participants provide dedicated pages outlining their products and legal information. These can be found on the IPRO Participant Pages, although not all participants maintain such pages.
What If a Listing Is Removed?
Sellers who believe their product or listing was wrongfully removed can find more details on how the IPRO process safeguards intellectual property on the IPRO Policy Page.
Platform Compliance:
All activity on CoffeeRoo must comply with this policy, the CoffeeRoo User Agreement, and all applicable laws, including respecting third-party rights. Failure to comply may result in actions such as listing removal, account restrictions, warnings, or suspensions, depending on the situation and legal requirements.
