CoffeeRoo Third-Party Fulfilment Policy
Effective Date: 4 June 2025
This policy outlines the conditions under which third-party fulfilment, including drop shipping, is permitted. While the core policy remains unchanged, we’ve updated the explanation of activities that violate it for improved clarity.
Definition of Third-Party Fulfilment
Third-party fulfilment refers to scenarios where an external partner—such as a warehouse or supplier—stores, packages, and ships orders on behalf of the seller. Drop shipping is a specific form of third-party fulfilment where the seller purchases stock from a supplier who ships directly to the customer.
When Is Third-Party Fulfilment Allowed?
Sellers may use third-party fulfilment services only if the following conditions are strictly met:
- The seller has already purchased or owns the inventory.
- The seller is clearly named on all packing slips and invoices.
- The use of third-party services must not confuse or mislead the buyer about where the product was purchased (e.g., no packaging from other marketplaces or retailers).
- The order must be fulfilled safely and within the terms stated in the seller’s CoffeeRoo listing.
- Any third-party partner must be bound by a contract that prohibits them from using or sharing CoffeeRoo customer data (such as names and contact details) for any purpose other than completing the specific order.
Prohibited Practices
Sellers are not permitted to:
- Use third-party fulfilment services that do not meet the above criteria. For instance, Fulfilment by Amazon does not comply with this policy.
- List products on CoffeeRoo and then purchase them from other online retailers or marketplaces for direct delivery to customers. This includes presale items.
- Provide false or misleading information about the location of their inventory, as it violates our Item Location Policy.
Compliance and Enforcement
All seller activity on CoffeeRoo must adhere to this policy, the CoffeeRoo User Agreement, and applicable laws. Violations may result in actions such as:
- Content or listing removal
- Warnings or notifications
- Restrictions on selling privileges
- Account suspension
Why This Policy Exists
CoffeeRoo enforces this policy to ensure a consistent and trustworthy experience for buyers and sellers. Orders fulfilled through external marketplaces or retailers can cause confusion and may compromise customer trust. Moreover, this policy helps ensure that buyer data is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling orders, not for any other reason.
