Signature Confirmation Policy
To ensure protection for both buyers and sellers on CoffeeRoo and affiliated platforms, signature confirmation is required when shipping high-value items.
This requirement helps:
- Sellers qualify for protection when buyers report items as not received or initiate payment disputes.
- Buyers receive protection if a returned item does not reach the seller.
When is Signature Confirmation Required?
For Sellers:
- If the total value of an order (including shipping and taxes) is $750 AUD or more, you must use signature confirmation to be eligible for protection against claims of non-receipt or payment disputes.
- For international shipments, requirements may vary by site. Refer to the Signature Confirmation Thresholds Table for country-specific details.
For Buyers:
- If returning an item purchased on coffeeroo.com.au that cost $750 AUD or more, signature confirmation is required to be covered by the CoffeeRoo Money Back Guarantee.

What is Signature Confirmation?
Signature confirmation is an optional service offered by postal carriers that requires a recipient to sign upon delivery. In certain situations, CoffeeRoo mandates this service to uphold buyer and seller protections.
Seller Shipping Requirements:
- To be covered in the event of a “not received” claim or payment dispute, use signature confirmation if the order total meets or exceeds the required threshold.
- This threshold is based on the checkout site and currency.

Determining Order Total:
The order total includes:
- Item price
- Shipping costs
- Applicable taxes
How to Find the Order Total:
- Navigate to the Orders tab in Seller Hub and select the specific order.
- If using CoffeeRoo shipping labels, the order total is visible when generating a shipping label in My CoffeeRoo Orders or Seller Hub.
Proof Requirement:
To successfully dispute a payment or avoid additional dispute fees, you may be required to provide proof of signature confirmation for orders at or above the threshold.
Return Requirements:
- If the buyer pays for return shipping, they must use signature confirmation when the returned item’s total cost (including tax) meets or exceeds the threshold on the original purchase site.
