Unpaid Payment Policy
Unpaid Item Policy
Buyers on CoffeeRoo are required to complete payment for items within four calendar days of purchase.
Policy Overview (as of 1 June 2025):
The policy remains unchanged, but explanations about non-compliance have been clarified.
If payment isn’t made within this period, sellers may cancel the transaction, and the buyer will receive a record of the unpaid cancellation on their account.
Key Points:
- When a buyer wins an auction, accepts an offer, or uses “Buy It Now,” they are entering into a binding agreement to pay the full amount to the seller.
- Before purchasing, buyers must consider all conditions stated in the listing, such as shipping and handling fees.
- Bids placed in auctions are binding and can only be withdrawn under exceptional situations.
- Sellers are allowed to cancel unpaid orders if the buyer does not pay or reach out within four days.
- Not paying is considered a breach of CoffeeRoo’s Abusive Buyer Policy.
- Repeated unpaid cancellations may lead to buying restrictions or loss of purchasing privileges. Buyers can appeal these cancellations in certain cases.
Handling Unpaid Orders:
- Sellers can cancel orders between day 5 and day 30 if no payment is made.
- Misusing the “buyer hasn’t paid” reason when payment was received can lead to:
- Reversal of credits
- Loss of credit privileges
- Possible suspension
CoffeeRoo will also remove any buyer feedback if:
- The order was canceled for non-payment, or
- The buyer’s account was suspended.
